Salem Police arrested a 22-year-old Salem man for domestic battery following an incident involving his girlfriend at his home Saturday night. Police report Alexander Russell of South Lincoln had left the home before police arrived. A search of the area followed with Russell not being located. However, he was taken into custody without further incident when returning home on his own. Russell was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a final decision on any charges.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department has been notified that a four-wheeler was stolen from a home in the 2500 block of Norton Road in rural Odin. The theft is believed to have occurred Friday night or early Saturday morning.
