A 21-year-old Salem man has been arrested on an outstanding Marion County felony warrant for aggravated battery with strangulation. Shakeem Johnson was taken to the county jail where he is being held in lieu of a $500,000 bond. State’s Attorney Tim Hudspeth says no additional information will be released about the case until the warrant is unsealed in court on Monday.
21-year-old Danielle Campbell of East Main in Salem was arrested by Centralia Police for retail theft at the Centralia Walmart and on an outstanding Marion County felony failure to appear warrant for possession of methamphetamine. The bond on the warrant is set at $35,000.
30-year-old John Pope of West 2nd in Beckemeyer was arrested by Centralia Police for obstructing justice, possession of drug paraphernalia, and on a Marion County misdemeanor warrant. The bond on the warrant is set at $5,000. Pope remains in the Marion County Jail.
A 41-year-old Salem woman was arrested for battery following an altercation with a neighbor outside her home on Friday afternoon. Alicia Bivins of Maplewood Drive later posted bond and was released from the Marion County Jail.
