A 39-year-old Iuka man was injured in a van-motorcycle crash on West Main Street in front of the Village Garden Restaurant on Sunday afternoon.
Salem Police say Mathew Thouvenin of Iuka Road was traveling eastbound on West Main Street when a mini van driven by 48-year-old Jonathan Townsend of Little Elm, Texas pulled out in front of him. Thouvenin hit the side of the van. He was taken to Salem Township Hospital by United Medical Response for treatment of injuries.
Townsend was not hurt. He was ticketed for failure to yield exiting a private drive.
The crash was reported at 3:09 Sunday afternoon.
