Centralia Police have arrested a 47-year-old Centralia man for aggravated battery to a police officer and resisting arrest.

Police say they responded to a report of a man later identified as Timothy Robbins of the 500 block of North Walnut attempted to break into a home.  He was reportedly found sitting on the front porch. As police were trying to determine if Robbins belonged at that address he allegedly struck one officer and was handcuffed by a second officer after being taken to the ground.

Police say Robbins apparently was intoxicated and had ended up at the home after mistaking it for his residence down the street.
