The SC Lady Cougars will open up Sectional play at Altamont tonight after their game was moved from Wednesday due to poor forecasted weather. They will take on Windsor/Stew-Stras at 6pm following the first game of the day between Edwards County and Casey Westfield.
At Carrollton, the hosts take on Okawville at 4:30 followed by Valmeyer and Hardin Calhoun at 6:30.
In 1a regional championships yesterday at Valmeyer, the hosts beat Marissa 8-1.
In 2a sectional semifinals today at Carterville, Anna takes on Johnston City. Newton and Wesclin play from Greenville and at Monticello it will be St Anthony playing St Joseph Ogden.
In 3a regional semifinal games yesterday at Bethalto, Freeburg shutout Jerseyville 3-0 and Mascoutah nipped Civic Memorial 7-6. East St Louis won in five innings at home over Cahokia 17-7, and at Olney it was Mattoon knocking off the Lady Tigers 2-1.
