The 1a/2a regionals opened up yesterday. In 1a, St Elmo\Brownstown beat Webber 17-7, Wayne City over Cisne 16-4.
Today in 1a regional semifinals at South Central, the host Lady Cougars will take on St Elmo/Brownstown at 3:30 followed by Red Hill and North Clay. Altamont takes on the hosts at Hutsonville. At Okawville, the hosts Lady Rockets take on Father McGivney.
In 2a regional play yesterday, Lawrenceville in 8 innings beat Greenville 5-4, Litchfield shutout Vandalia 12-0, Mt Carmel over Benton 10-5, Nashville outgunned DuQuoin 15-10, Piasa over Marquette 7-0. Wood River and Althoff had their game suspended in the bottom of the first tied at 3-3. They will resume today at 4pm.
Today in 2a regional semifinals, Johnston City hosts Nashville, at Newton the hosts take on Lawrenceville followed by Flora and Robinson, Carlyle takes on Litchfield at Vandalia.
