The Salem Wildcats snapped their 7 game losing skid with a dominant 10-0 home win over Wood River behind a Noah Nix 5-inning No Hitter on the mound.  At the plate, Salem got a 2-hit day from Colton Shelton that included a double and drove in 2 runs.  Aden Bass and Gavin Zimmermann also drove in 2 with RBI from Kam Wilkins and Keaton Gullion who also scored twice.  Nix struck out 7 and walked 1 in the win needing just 55 pitches.  Salem varsity will host South Central this afternoon.

The Salem JV was 19-0 winners in 3.5 innings at the Little League Complex.  Colton Rogers homered and drove in 3.  Carter Lowe had 2 triples going 3-3 with 5 RBI and 3 runs scored.  Eli LoGrasso doubled going 3-4 with 3 RBI and 3 runs.  Evan Barnes worked 2 innings allowing 1 hit and struck out 4.  Aden Rostance and LoGrasso also got an inning each.  The Salem JV added a game today at Marion.

The SC Cougars fell to Windsor/Stew-Stras in Kinmundy 7-6.  Callaway Smith had a homer run going 4-5 with 3 RBI.  Maddux Robb drove in 2 for SC.
