Wamac Police have made two arrests on no-bond warrants. 38-year-old Rhainnon Thompson of Veterans Drive in Effingham was arrested on an outstanding Effingham County felony warrant. 45-year-old John Johnston, who told authorities he was homeless, was arrested on an outstanding Marion County failure to appear warrant.
50-year-old Terry Hope of Murphysboro was arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies for alleged driving under the influence. He was taken into custody after his vehicle ran off US 50 east of Natures Lane into the roadside ditch. Hope was later released on a notice to appear in court.
