The red hot Salem Lady Wildcats are 17-4 as they get set to host Freeburg today at Tully Park. Salem beat Columbia last night 6-2. Lilly Blagoue blasted her 10th homer of the season as she drove in 2 runs. Mya Russell tripled and Salem also got RBI from Bre Thurman, Alivia Rasul and Nat Lee. Thurman was the complete game winner allowing 5 hits and no earned runs with 8 strikeouts.
The SC Lady Cougars host Grayville. The Lady Cougars are coming off a tight 3-0 home win over Altamont. Taegan Webster was the complete game winner allowing just 3 hits and striking out 15 with no walks. At the plate, Amelia Montes had 2 hits and scored twice, Webster singled and scored as SC only had 2 hits.
Odin/Patoka/Sandoval lost to Wesclin 11-5. Jena Howell had 2 hits including her first high school homerun. Maddie Garrett also had 2 hits with 1 each from Amiya Ray and Hailey Lane. The Eagles are 8-11 on the season as they host Red Hill today at 5pm.
