Stallions 3rd At Tri County Invitational
The Christ Our Rock Stallions Boys Track and Field Team takes home 3rd place at The Tri-County Invitational at Breese Central High School this evening and the Lady Stallions shined in distance events!
Coach Tim Koch says, “this was the highest finish we have received at The Tri-County Invitational since I have been coaching track at COR! This team makes us all very proud! They always compete hard and give it all they have! Its been a very special year for this team already!”
The Stallions were highlighted by the 4×100 team of Landyn Mitchell, Elijah Gregory, Isaiah Lyons and Arda Gencel winning the championship in the event, as well as Soph. Landyn Mitchell claiming the Tri-County Championship in the 100 meter hurdles.
On the Lady’s side Sr. Sarah Mckowen is coming on strong at the right time as she took home the Tri County Championship in both the 3200 meter run and 1600 meter run, running her season’s best times in doing so.
Here is how the rest of the stallions placed in the meet. Medals were given to the Top 3 and 6 places were awarded points
2nd place medalist: Rylee Brammeier 3200 meter run, Carson Pigg 3200 meter run, 4X400 relay team of Landyn Mitchell, Alton Davis, Isaiah Lyons, Arda Gencel
3rd place medalist: Zerek Koch 3200 meter run, Isaiah Lyons 400 meter dash, Carson Pigg 1600 meter run, Rylee Brammeier 1600 meter run, Landyn Mitchell Long Jump
4th place: Arda Gencel 100 meter dash, Elijah Gregory 800 meter run, Zerek Koch 1600 meter run
5th place: Arda Gencel 200 meter
6th place: Alton Davis 400 meter dash, 4X800 relay Wyatt Gregory, Aiden Hildreth, LIagel Lyons, Anderson Engele
