Marion County’s new Circuit Clerk is expressing appreciation for those who supported her as she prepares to take office on December first.
Tiffany Schicker will replace long-time Marion County Circuit Clerk Ronda Yates who is retiring.
Schicker says her first venture into politics was a positive experience.
“It has been an amazing experience. I am very humbled and honored to have all the support of the voters and certainly everyone who has helped me throughout my campaign. It’s been an all-around great experience and I’m so thankful.”
Schicker says attention now turns on getting prepared to take over the office.
“I think with Rhonda and facilitate a transition and once I get in there just really taking a look at our budget numbers and looking at updating the website. Possibly doing some text notifications to be able to offer that to the citizens of Marion County and really just getting to work on day one.”
Schicker formerly worked in the circuit clerk and state’s attorney’s office before her current position at Crain, Miller and Wernsman Limited.
She commended her opponent Cathy Malone on running a positive campaign.
