A Centralia woman has been charged with aggravated reckless driving and five other offenses following an injury head-on crash in Centralia that occurred just over a year ago

Heather Marcum was also charged with a second felony for aggravated driving under the influence of drugs as well as additional counts of driving under the influence of drugs, possession of adult-use cannabis in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, and improper lane usage.

The aggravated reckless driving charge states Marcum with willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property of others, and in doing so caused great bodily harm to Wilda Church by driving into the front end of a vehicle in which Church was a passenger.

Centralia Police said at the time of the April 11th, 2023 crash that Marcum along with Wilda Church and the driver of the car in which she was a passenger, 87-year-old Delmar Church of Salem, were all taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of injuries.

Marcum had been given a notice to appear on the charges at the time of the crash due to her injuries.

No court date has been set for Marcum to make a first appearance on the charges.
