Despite missing a few athletes due to activities involved with the solar eclipse and a couple people out due to illness The Christ Our Rock Stallions Track and Field team competed in the Wiseman/Henning Track and Field Invitational at Freeburg High School this evening!
Coach Tim Koch said, “We had a lot of fun watching the eclipse together as a team it was a great experience for building camaraderie and our athletes that were able to attend this evening did very well! We went with a little different approach today and ran most everybody in one event, coming off of a meet on Saturday! The goal was to see several individual personal records or seasons’ best times and that was exactly what we got from several of our athletes today!”
Rylee Brammeier was the lone medalist as the Meet awarded 6 places but only the Top 3 received medals. Brammeier was 3rd in the 3200 meter run. Other Stallions placing included: Sarah McKowen 6th in the 800 meter run.
On the boys side Arda Gencel was 6th in the 100 meter dash, Isaiah Lyons 6th in the 400 meter run with a season best time of: 55.16.
