An early morning fire destroyed an outbuilding in the 400 block of West Lincoln Street in Dix.
Jefferson Fire officials say no one was around the building and it appeared it may have been in the process of being torn down. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
Kell Fire was initially dispatched for mutual aid, but when Jefferson Fire arrived and saw the situation Kell was canceled.
The fire call came in at 3:08 on Thursday morning.
