A crash at the intersection of US 50 at the Boulder Road in Clinton County early Thursday night resulted in three injuries.
State Police say a preliminary investigation indicates that 35-year-old Ashley Lynch of O’Fallon was traveling southbound on Boulder Road when she failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection and collided with an eastbound car on US 50 driven by 45-year-old Shane Branon of Centralia.
Both drivers along with a 12-year-old juvenile in the Lynch car were all injured. Branon’s injuries were listed as life-threatening. Huey-Boulder-Ferrin firemen had to extricate one of the victims who was flown from the scene to a St. Louis Hospital. One other patient was transported by Medstar and a third patient by Sandoval ambulance. Lifestar provided care to the trapped occupant until freed and transferred to the helicopter.
State Police say charges are pending.
The crash occurred at 5:48 Thursday evening.
