Rakers Stepping Down After Stellar Career With Lady Knights Volleyball

For the last 12 years, Chad Rakers has been coaching the Mater Dei Lady Knights volleyball program after taking over for his Hall of Fame father Fred, Chad has kept the winning tradition going in Breese.  Fred and Chad have a combined 1428 victories at Mater Dei, which accounts for every win in school history.  Chad finishes with a mark of 382 wins, 94 losses and 5 ties.  That included 2 state titles and multiple final four appearances.  He also brought home a 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th place trophy.  Chad is also an alumnus of Mater Dei, having graduated in the Class of 93.
