The largest construction category in Centralia for the second month in a row is solar arrays.  New construction activity totaled $238,934.

The City of Centralia issued four permits for solar projects in February in the total 18 permits issued.  A $76,000 project was approved for a home on Pine Hurst Place.  A $$33,948 permit was issued for a home on Agape Lane.  A $22,000 solar project was approved for the 500 block of Westhaven.  An $18,000 permit was approved for a home in the 1300 block of South Pine.

Mission Centralia received permits to construct two additional ramps to allow residents easier access to their homes.  The homes were in the 400 block of East 5th and a home on Devonia Drive.

Most of the other improvements were for home improvements.  Projects include new decks, sheds, fences, as well as a garage and porch.

There were four demolition permits issued in February.   They were to tear down the downtown building at 143 South Locust that had started to collapse, a home in the 800 block of South Locust, a shed at 1128 Dover, and a mobile home at 1005 College Avenue.
