Former Congressman Glenn Poshard is making a tour of Southern Illinois to silently march in front of each courthouse carrying signs of non-violence and respect for our people and our Democracy. His visit to the Marion County Courthouse in Salem is scheduled for two Thursday afternoon.

Poshard says there will be 50 minutes of silent marching at each stop and a ten-minute recitation of the Gettysburg Address to remind everyone who we are as Americans. He reports everyone will be wearing masks and observing appropriate distances during the walk. Anyone attending the Gettysburg Address recitation must do the same.

Poshard says he is completing the silent march and the reading of the Gettysburg Address in the 39 most Southern Counties of the state in hope of address the hate and division he currently sees filling the country.
