EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — An Evansville, Indiana man has been arrested in the 2014 killing of a 15-year-old Fairfield girl whose body was found nearly three years ago in a shallow grave in Wayne County.
Twenty-four-year-old Brodey Murbarger was arrested Wednesday morning in Evansville and jailed without bond pending extradition to Illinois.
The Evansville Courier & Press reports that Evansville police say Murbarger faces a murder charge after an Illinois grand jury indicted him in connection with the disappearance and killing of Megan Nichols of Fairfield.
The teen went missing in July 2014. Her remains were found in December 2017 in a shallow grave near Boyleston, Illinois.
