An Effingham man was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment following a two-vehicle crash at South College and Commercial Street in Salem on Tuesday afternoon.
Salem Police say an SUV driven by 32-year-old Eric Soloman of Propes Road in Iuka was eastbound on Commercial at the College Street intersection. He preceded into the intersection and struck a northbound SUV on College Street driven by 45-year-old Leon Westender of Effingham.
Westender was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Soloman was ticketed for failure to yield at an intersection.
The crash occurred at 2:46 Tuesday afternoon.
