2023 12/12 – Stanley L. Beppler

Stanley L. Beppler, Sr., 75, of Centralia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 3, 2023.

He was born July 17, 1948, in Centralia, the son of Leroy Beppler and Betty (Haney) Beppler. He married Loretta Zach and they later divorced.Stanley is survived by his grandson: Travis Beppler and Abby Campbell of Centralia; one great-grandson on the way: Tate Stanley Beppler; his daughter-in-law Angie Beppler; and his two four-legged companions: Bucky and Smokey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son: Stanley “Bud” Beppler, II, brother: David Beppler, and one sister: Sandra Beppler.

Stanley served in the US Army during Vietnam. He worked for the Canadian National Railroad for 30-plus years as a welder until he retired. Stanley was an avid St. Louis Cardinal’s Fan. One of his greatest enjoyments in life was spending time with his son and grandson, whether it was fishing or hunting.   Stanley was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by his family and his hunting buddies.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia. Military Honors will be accorded at the gravesite by the Centralia American Legion Post 446 and the Centralia VFW Post 2055. Visitation will be held Monday, December 11, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia.
