A large crowd turned out for the return of the Apostolics of Salem Block Party on Saturday.
The church grounds were filled with activities and food for those in attendance.

“We had done block parties like this several years ago. Kind of had a hiatus from that for awhile. This is the first year we are starting it back up. We had over 70 volunteers from our church to make this happen. We got 7 or 8 bounce houses, over 70 prizes to hand out today and 9 grand prizes to hand out.”
Collins says the event will continue and may stay in the fall due to the good attendance. It had originally been scheduled for this spring, but was postponed due to rainy weather that day.
