The high school cross country regionals are Saturday.
Salem will compete at Olney Central College along with North Clay and Mount Vernon. Qualifiers will advance to the Jacksonville Sectional next weekend.
Also trying to get to Jacksonville is the Highland Regional teams including Breese Central, Centralia, Columbia and Freeburg.
In 1a feeding into the Benton Sectional, Wesclin is the site for teams including Mater Dei, Christ Our Rock, Roxana, Wesclin, Woodlawn and Wood River.
Competing for a spot at the Decatur St Teresa Sectional will be at the Fairfield Regional including Odin, St Anthony and Altamont.
