Salem Police have arrested a 35-year-old Salem man for possession of under five grams of methamphetamine and a failure to appear warrant on a prior possession of meth charge after stopping a stolen bicycle Monday morning.

Police say Walter Williams of Salem Mobile Home Park had allegedly taken the bike 30 minutes earlier from another residence in the mobile home park.   After being stopped in the 200 block of William Street, he was allegedly found in possession of two baggies of meth in addition to having an outstanding no-bond warrant.    Williams was taken to the Marion County Jail.

Police say Williams was not arrested for the bicycle theft.   The bike was returned to its owner.
