Clifford ‘Cliff’ Stroup, 40, of Salem, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023.
He was born March 27, 1983, in Centralia, the son of Charles Stroup and Sandy (Bryan) Ruble.
Cliff is survived by his parents: Charles Stroup, Sr. and wife Amy of Kinmundy and Sandy Ruble and husband Mike of Salem; one son: Christopher Stroup of Arlington, Texas; four brothers: Charles Stroup, Jr. and wife Patricia of Kinmundy, James Stroup of Salem, Ricky Stroup of Kinmundy, and Ryan Stroup of Kinmundy; two sisters: Samantha Stroup of Salem and Sabrina Stroup of Salem; four nieces and one nephew: Kaitlyn, Angel, Rylee, Haylee, and River; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: William and Marjorie Stroup, his maternal grandparents: Tressie Herrington and Eldon Bryan, and two brothers: Geary Stroup and Jared Stroup.
Cliff worked as a block layer. He enjoyed being outdoors and woodworking. Cliff had a passion for music, he wrote and sang several of his own songs. He was also a very talented guitar player.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home in Salem. A Private Burial will be held at a later date at East Lawn Cemetery in Salem. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home at 310 North Broadway/ P.O.
