Salem Police say several special no parking zones set during Little Egypt Festival

Salem Police say parking will be prohibited on the both sides of several streets for the Little Egypt Festival Parade and festivities from noon to five on Saturday evening. No parking will also apply to streets already with that prohibition.

Police say vehicles parked in these prohibited areas will be towed at the owners expense.

Streets that will be closed to parking during these times are as follows:

East-West Streets

Beginning Saturday October 7th, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. and thereafter until 5:00 P.M. Saturday evening, parking will be prohibited on both sides of the following streets. The Street Parking Prohibition is due to the Little Egypt Festival Activities and Parade. Any streets regularly marked no parking, remain as such during this period.

Vehicles parked in these prohibited areas will be towed at the owners expense.

Streets that will be closed to parking during these times are as follows:

East-West Streets

· Main from Pearl to Jefferson

· Schwartz from Broadway to Jefferson

North-South Streets

· Marion from Church to Main

· Shelby from Main to Boone

· Woodland from Boone to Park

· Washington from Main to Schwartz
