Penny L. Kropp, 53, of Salem, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, surrounded by her family.www.sutherlandfuneralhome.com and the Sutherland Funeral Home Facebook Page.
She was born October 17, 1969 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, the daughter of William Higgins and Judith (Evans) Higgins. In September of 1994, Penny met the love of her life and best friend, James Kless. In addition to the love of her life: James Kless of Salem, Penny is also survived by two daughters: Kayley Kropp of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and Samantha Nazario and husband Marco of Utah; three granddaughters: Viviana Wahl of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Elsie Nazario and Maya Nazario both of Utah; sister: Kristine Buell and husband Ray of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law: Joan Kless of Salem; sister-in-law: Lori Schmidt and husband Steven of Salem; and her friends and co-workers. She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Judith Higgins and a sister-in-law: Cindy Rust. Penny worked as an Insurance Agent in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin for several years, until she moved to Salem. She enjoyed making arts and crafts. Penny had a passion for cooking and baking. Being outdoors, whether it was camping, boating or even fishing, she treasured the time she spent simply enjoying nature. Penny was an avid reader and appreciated a good Murder Mystery. The time she had with her family, friends and her four-legged companion: Oreo, were such a treasure. Per Penny’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no public services will be held.
