Centralia Police arrested two people when called to a domestic battery. Both 44-year-old Dawn Ruez and 31-year-old Billy Williams both of South Elm Street were arrested for violation of a no contact order. In addition, Ruez was arrested for domestic battery. The two were taken to the Marion County Jail.
Marion County prisoner transport returned 30-year-old David Funte of Charleston from the Clay County Jail at Louisville on an outstanding failure to appear in court warrant on a possession of methamphetamine case. Bond on the warrant is set at $5,000.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a residential burglary to a home in the 2600 block of Tonti Road in rural Salem.
The sheriff’s department is also investigating the theft of dog food stolen from a locked building at the Marion County Fairgrounds.
