Salem XC Runners Show Well At Freeburg Invite, Head To Chester Thursday

The Salem Wildcats cross country teams competed at the Freeburg Invitational on Saturday.

The boys were 5th as a team out of 23 teams and 193 runners in the varsity boys race.  Hunter Malan was 19th to lead Salem, Robby Shober 23rd, Caiden Beer 28th, Alex Spencer 41st and Branson Pappas 79th.

The top runners for the girls were Maci Thorsen who was 21st and Breanna Thurman 34th.  There were 140 runners in the varsity girl’s race.  Both teams will run at Chester on Thursday.
