Nelda Gillenwater, age 74 of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Helia Healthcare of Salem.
Nelda was born on March 29, 1949, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, the daughter of Carl and Ruby (Rich) Gillenwater.
Survivors include her brother, Randall Gillenwater and wife Sarah of Salem; nieces and nephews, Keith, Sierra, Josh, and Lacey Gillenwater, Icesis Hefley, Isaac Hollinshead, Kasey Swift, Ilyssa Gillenwater, and Heather Brown, and a cousin, Peggy Maxey
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Ruby Gillenwater, and a brother, Louis Gillenwater
Nelda was a homemaker. She loved flowers and collecting.
Graveside services for Nelda Gillenwater will be held at East Lawn Cemetery in Salem on Monday, August 21, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. with Claude Howell officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer Association and will be received at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem who is assisting the family with arrangements.
