Salem grad and Millikin golfer Max Phillips was recently named All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of American. To be named to the honor, golfers had to achieve over a 3.2 GPA and have a stroke average under 79.
Phillips, a graduate student from Salem, Ill. shot a 75.11 average, tying for fifth at the Ted Barclay Invitational and placing thirteenth at the CCIW Championships.
