Kathy Ann Miller, 63, of Walnut Hill, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at her home.
Kathy was born May 21, 1960, in Bakersfield, CA, the daughter of W.M. Lay and Willie Jo (O’Dell) Lay. She married Ron Miller on April 7, 2007, in Salem, IL at the Grace Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to her husband Ron of 16 years, she is survived by five children: Christie Aussieker, Amanda Howard, T.J. Land and wife Mindy, Kelli Willis, and Fred, and Nick Miller and wife Laura; twelve grandchildren: Colby Aussieker, Cait Aussieker, Will Rose, Matthew Howard, David Land, Alex Land, Chris Land, Bennett Wyatt, Tanner Wyatt, Dayla Willis, River Willis, and Remmi Willis; three great-grandchildren: Rylan, Max, and Gray; brothers and sisters: Darin Lay (Dennis Jones), Johnny Walker, Martha Walker, Mary Jane Bryan, Karen Guice, and Lisa Norris; mother-in-law: Kathy Miller; brother-in-law: Steve Miller and Tammy; and several nieces and nephews.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Steve Lay and Jackie Lay, and father-in-law: Gene Miller.
Kathy was co-owner of KRM Solutions with her husband Ron for 15 years. She previously worked at the Bee Hive serving as manager in Hoyelton. She was known for collecting many angels. Her passion was her yard work, where she loved to mow over 6 acres a week and keeping to her flowers. She was a member of the Grace Church of the Nazarene in Salem. Kathy’s family was the most important to her and she will be missed dearly.
Funeral Services for Kathy Ann Miller will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 14, 2023, at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home on Monday, August 14, 2023, before the time of service. Private family interment will be held at a later date at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia.
