Right hand pitcher and Effingham grad Chad Green is working his way back from Tommy John surgery, which he underwent in May of 2022. He made a rehab appearance with Triple A Buffalo on Saturday, tossing a scoreless seventh inning at Lehigh Valley. Green is close to joining the big league club, needing just 10 pitches to retire the side. This was his 5th rehab appearance between Single A Dunedin and Buffalo, a span of six scoreless innings with 7 strikeouts. The next likely step before he returns to Toronto would be back-to-back appearances.
