2023 08/05 – Jeanette ‘Lucy’ Molenhour

Jeanette “Lucy” Molenhour, age 85 of Salem, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Twin Willows Nursing Center in Salem.

Lucy was born on August 7, 1937, in Hammond, Indiana, the daughter of Harold and Oneta “Hoppy” (Forsythe) Williams.  She married Joe Molenhour on August 17, 1957, in Iuka, and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include her two children, Jenny Holsapple and husband Dwayne of Kansas, and Jeff Molenhour and wife Sheri of Salem; grandchildren, Kristen Petty and husband Spencer, Jon Holsapple and wife Megan, Will Holsapple, Levi Molenhour and wife Jamale, Seth Molenhour, and Megan Molenhour; great-grandchildren, Carter, Brecklyn, Cooper, Austin, Izzy, Isaiah, Kellen, and Hallie; brother, Bob Williams and wife Anne of Florida; and sister-in-law, Mary Louise Weems of Salem.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Williams; mother, Oneta Williams; stepmother, Mary Williams; and husband, Joe.

Lucy worked for many years as a receptionist for State Farm.  She was a member of the First Christian Church in Salem.  Her grandkids, sewing, directing FCC Sonshine School, and Pepsi brought much joy to her life.

Funeral services for Jeanette “Lucy” Molenhour will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at First Christian Church in Salem with Phil Martin officiating, with visitation from 9:00 am until the time of the service.  Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery in Salem.  Memorials can be made to FCC Sonshine School and can be left at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem.  Online condolences can be left at www.CrouseFH.com
