Christina (Bender) Rigney passed away on July 24th, 2023 at her home. She was born on December 5th, 1981 in Riverside, California to Edmond Alson Bender and Nancy (Vaughn) Candler.Christina is survived by her mother Nancy Candler and fiance Steve Lucking of Centralia; husband Cody Rigney of Centralia; children; Cassandra Candler and fiance Mason Smith of Mt. Vernon, IL, Oliver Candler and fiance Tori Broadway of Centralia, Dakota Bender of Centralia, and Andrew Joseph Butler of Centralia; grandchildren Chance, Jax, Ocean, and T.J.; siblings Eddie Bender and spouse Ashley of Centralia, Stacie Bender of Centralia, and Jessica May and spouse Zachary of Centralia; mother-in-law Denise Rigney of Centralia; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her father, paternal and maternal grandparents, Uncle George Vaughn, and Aunt Pam Vaughn.Christina was known for being a hard worker throughout her life. She loved spending time with family, she was a true family woman. She loved drawing and partaking in crafting activities. She also enjoyed horseback riding. Christina will be missed dearly by her family and friends.Cremation rites will be accorded for Christina. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the family and can be accepted at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street, Centralia, IL 62801 (618) 532-3523.
