The Jr Gold Bowling Championship qualifying rounds are over after four long days in Indianapolis and over 1300 competitors in the 18u Boys Division.  Salem will have two bowlers represented in the first round of cuts starting at 7:30 Friday morning.  Junior Silas Moats dominated Day 4 shooting a 909 4-game series including a high game of 247 to put himself in 28th place as the top 188 advanced.  Salem grad Charlie Hunter advanced placing 126th after his 712 day and a 195.31 average for the tournament.  Both will try to advance to the next cuts that will see the top 60 advance.  From there they will take the top 16 to play match play on Saturday and then the top 3 from Match Play will compete in the televised finals Saturday night.
