The Aviston Express Post 1239 won the District 23 title over the weekend, knocking off the Aviston Conductors in the championship game 10-0.
Aviston will open up the 5th Division Tournament in West Frankfort on Friday. The tournament opens Thursday night with Alton Post 216 playing Murphysboro Post 127 with that winner getting the Express. The other first round matchup will see Orient Post 1961 takes on Carrier Mills Post 364 at 7:45.
