A Salem man was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment of injuries following a car-semi truck crash on southbound I-57 at milepost 121 near Townhouse Road five miles north of Salem late Saturday afternoon.
Salem Fire Protection District reports identify the driver of the car as Kyle Duncan of Hotze Road in Salem. He had gotten out of the vehicle on his own and no extrication was needed.
State Police say preliminary information indicates the passenger side of the car struck the driver’s side of the semi-truck. The car then rolled over. Duncan reportedly sustained life-threatening injuries. The driver of the semi, who has not been identified, was not injured.
The crash occurred at 5:26 Saturday afternoon.
