A 37-year-old former Salem man was shot and killed along a busy road early Wednesday morning in south St. Louis.
The St. Louis Post Dispatch reports Wade Featherston was pronounced dead on the scene just before 12:30 am in the 4100 block of Chippewa Street in the city’s Dutchtown neighborhood.
Police say a 36-year-old woman with Featherstun was also shot and injured. She indicated a person on a motorcycle had driven by and shot at them, but she didn’t know why.
The shootings were one of five separate shootings that occurred late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning in St. Louis. In addition to Featherston’s death, six others were injured in those shootings.
