A 38-year-old homeless Centralia man was arrested by Centralia Police on Tuesday in connection with windshields or windows being broken out of a dozen vehicles.

Jonathan Hiltibital was taken into custody following an investigation that identified him as the person responsible for allegedly throwing the rocks or stones at the windows in a six-block area northwest of the downtown area early in the morning on June 26th.

After the Centralia Police Investigations Division along with the Patrol Division were able to pinpoint the damage being done between 4 am and 6 am on the morning of June 26th they went to area businesses and residences in an attempt to gather video of the suspect or suspects.

The Centralia Police Department is grateful for the cooperation of the community in helping them obtain information along with the excellent work done by Detectives and Officers that led to Hiltibital’s arrest.

While Hiltibidal was arrested for nine counts of Felony Criminal Damage to Property, State’s Attorney Tim Hudspeth is only initially charging him with one count.   The bond was set at $15,000.   Hiltibidal had a public defender appointed to represent him.
