Jack W. Hopkins, age 88 of Salem, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023, at his home.
Jack was born on December 23, 1934, in Metropolis, IL the son of James and Imogene (McCandless) Hopkins. He married Janice (Wise) Hopkins on June 16, 1962, in Glendale, IL and she survives in Salem.
Survivors include his two sons, Paul Hopkins and wife Sheri of Salem, and Mark Hopkins and wife Bernie of Salem; grandchildren, Derek (Kassie), Corey (Katie), Tyler (Erin), Jessica (Joe), Kari (Sean), Savanah (Chris), Jordan (Lindsey), and Brooke; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Owen, Levi, and Ben.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Jesse; and siblings, James Hopkins, Doris Neace, and Laura Girtman.
Jack worked for many years as a laborer for Egyptian Concrete in Salem. He attended Salem Grace Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening.
