Security Alarm took game 1 of the 2023 Salem Little League Majors City Series knocking off top-seed Rotary 7-2. Jax Schaubert struck out 10 in earning the win for Security Alarm. Bentley Bryan came in to get the final 3 outs in the sixth. Bryan at the plate led the way with 3 hits. The winners also got hits from Schaubert, Tripp Garden, Ben Lux and Rhett Starnes.
In the loss for Rotary, Zane Applegate struck out 5 on the mound and had 3 hits at the plate. Jared Crompton also pitched and struck out 5 and added a hit along with Kai Graham, Kemper Johnson and Nolan Krutsinger. Game 2 from Mark Larimer Field will be Wednesday night starting at 6pm.
