Maybe it wasn’t the start he would of handpicked, but Salem grad Riley Martin made a huge step towards his ultimate goal of pitching in the Big Leagues just by making his first ever Triple-A appearance last night in the Iowa Cubs 10-8 win over Indianapolis. The left hander made his debut in the top of the 7th inning with his team up 10-5. Martin would surrender 4 hits and 3 runs with a strikeout. The Iowa Cubs are back in action today again against Indy.
