Salem Police are investigating a burglary to the Salem Community Theatre and the theft of vehicles from two businesses. All occurred Friday night or early Saturday morning.
The Salem Community Theatre on South Broadway reported that the tip jar in the theatre lobby was found busted open on Saturday morning. There were also pry marks on the cash register but entry was not gained. It was not immediately clear how entry had been made.
Pennington Chevrolet of West Main Street reported two new pickup trucks missing from their lot on Saturday.
Molenhour Power Equipment on East Main Street reported a company truck with ‘Molenhour Power Equipment’ on the side was stolen sometime before Saturday morning as well. The truck contained a leaf blower, two weed eaters, and a 100-gallon fuel tank that were also stolen.
Salem Police say none of the three vehicles have been recovered.
