The Salem varsity baseball Wildcats improved to 5-1 on the summer with a 13-1 road win at Woodlawn. The Cats led 9-1 after six innings and scored 4 in the 7th. Noah Nix was amazing for the Cats. The junior-to-be allowed just 2 hits and struck out 19 with only 1 walk. He threw 96 pitches, 76 for strikes. At the plate, Rhett Detering had 2 hits and drove in 3 runs. Nate Paulson was 2-4 with 2 RBI. Also driving in runs were Colton Shelton, Ryan Detering, Keaton Gullion and Cody Beard.
