The Salem Jv split their double header with visiting Newton. Salem dropped the first game 12-11 as the Cats made 6 errors and allowed 8 unearned runs in the loss. Max Vincent earned the win in relief as he worked the final 2 innings. Salem trailed 4-3 before scoring 7 times in the fifth inning to take the lead. At the plate, Brendan Smith had 2 hits and 2 RBI, Alijah Carroll drove in a run, Payton Gullion singled and scored twice with an RBI, Evan Barnes drove in a run.
