A 15-year-old rural Centralia juvenile girl was airlifted from the scene of an ATV crash on a dirt section of the Mt. Moriah Road between Levy and Nation Road east of Centralia early Thursday night.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say the girl was a passenger on the ATV that lost control when hitting ruts in the roadway. She along with the 16-year-old rural Centralia juvenile girl that was driving were both thrown as the ATV overturned.
Salem Fire Protection District Firemen were called to assist in setting up the landing zone for the Air Evac medical helicopter that airlifted her to a regional hospital.
The crash was reported around 8:22 Thursday evening.
