In Little League Minors, El Rancherito beat Gold Link 12-2. In the win, Lucas Howe had 3 hits including a home run and drove in 5. Dagan Duncan had 2 hits with a double and 2 RBI. Also driving in El Rancherito runs were Lewis Eddy, Maddux Lograsso, Liam Ryan, and Remington Carroll. In the loss, Kobe Sheehan had a hit and 2 RBI. Eli Bookhout had a hit and run and Zach Jones singled.
Bandys 10u girls pulled off a win Wednesday night against Salem Bowl 13-7. Winning pitcher Gabby Goostree with 6 strikeouts. Bandy’s had 3 hits from Violet, Gwen and Gabby. Also adding in hits were Leah and Quinn with 2 hits each. The losing pitcher was Kailey for Salem Bowl with 4 strikeouts. Elaine had 2 hits for Salem Bowl. Josey, Kaley, Ella’s, and Graci all having a 1 hit apiece also.
In boys coach pitch, Country Financial defeated My School 21-14 Wednesday night in a battle of undefeated teams. Country Financial was led by a host of players. Levi Knapp was 5 for 5 at the plate. Reed Knapp was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. Avery Garrison and Braydon Conner were 4 for 4 at the plate. Spencer Gaston was 3 for 4 with a home run in the third inning. For My School Clay Heinzman was 4 for 4 with 4 singles and Jace Alden was 4 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles.
In the City of Salem Recreation Department and YMCA men’s softball, Swag/Pour House topped the Wild Stallions 20 to 13 and Pennington Chevrolet beat Swag/Pour House 22 to 12.
