For the boys track this year the MVP went to 8th grader Riley Tate who also had the most points for boys 8th grade. Most points in 7th grade was Noah Gaston, most points in 6th grade was Cory Cano, 5th grade was Rafe James and most points for a 4th grader went to Weston Crouse. The Mr Rocket award which represents someone who was very positive, supportive and a great teammate went to Carter Shanafelt.
On the girls side the MVP and high point for a 7th grader went to Carly Veach.
Most points in the 8th grade went to Avery Eastin. Most points in 6th grade went to Corrina McGee, 5th grade went to Alaina Howe and high point 4th grader was Gia Ward.
The Miss Rocket(s) award went to both Shelby Johnson and Emily Guzman.
Also the team spirit award went to Gabby Harper and McKenzie Mulvaney for always cheering on their teammates no matter what.
The girls team tied for 10th at state while the boys finished 20th. The Rockets track team is coached by Mrs Angie Courtright and Mr Mitch Martin assisted by Mindy Veach, Bryan Carter and Steve Shanafelt.
In the inaugural year of golf at Selmaville coach Connor Brooks was very pleased at how much all of the players improved. Having 5 boys and 2 girls made for a very fun first year. On the boys side 8th grader Riley Tate, and 7th graders: Jaxon Ward, Rylan Lawson, Coke Rau and Nicholi Mahrhanka were all very entertaining to watch this year. On the girls side: 7th graders Jolie Jackson and Talya Gowler were a very fun inaugural duo! Jackson and Gowler along with Rau were all named Most Improved Players. With the MVP going to Nicholi Mahrhanka. The Rocket golfers were coached by Mr Connor Brooks assisted by Mrs Marla Tolliver.
