There were a pair of Letter of Intent signings in the Board Room at Salem Community High School yesterday. First baseball standout Griffin Day made it official and will continue his career at the next level playing for Mitch Koester and the KC Blue Devils.
Day said he wouldn’t be where he is without the people who have been there supporting him.
“I want to thank my family, friends, coaches and teammates who all helped me and motivated me to get to this point.”
Head Coach Brian Lipe said Day has been through a lot over the past 4 years with the team, and thinks KC is getting a gamer.
“He gets the ball in most of our tough games and has excelled this year more times than not.”
